Some clinicians continue to find progesterone determinations useful. The rationale is that viable intrauterine pregnancies were associated with serum progesterone levels of 11 ng per mL 35 nmol per L or greater in one study, 20 and levels of 25 ng per mL 80 nmol per L or greater in another study.
